Description

Post processing in landscape images involves dealing with multiple colors. In this premium video, Outdoor Photography Guide’s David Johnston creates the ultimate guide to boost colors even when not using color adjustments.

In Lightroom, David edits his wide angle photograph of a rainy autumn scene. Colors abound. Temperature is an important tool. To achieve a cooler appearance, he lowers the temperature slider. To add saturation, he increases the clarity. To add color, he increases the luminance.

To isolate areas of color in the image, he employs the Color Mixer. With the color dropper, he picks out various colors and makes adjustments. He moves onto the Calibration icon and works with the primary color sliders: blue, red, and green. Then, he adjusts haze with the dehaze tool. His final edits include adjustments on almost every color of the image. The goal is to get your viewers to look where you want them to look.
