HDR Photography Tutorial: Capturing Hall Mirrors
Tony SweetDescription
Photographing a hall of mirrors? Now there is a challenge! In this video, professional photographer and instructor, Tony Sweet, takes you into the old prison for a complex lesson in High Dynamic Range photography.
“The lighting is difficult because of the skylights and mirrors,” Tony explains. Shooting with a 14mm lens at f22, he makes a single, manual exposure in the average setting. The result shows the image as extremely blown out and extremely dark. For the HDR solution, Tony shoots six more exposures, two stops over and four stops under, in order to capture all the details.
Join with pro photographer, Tony Sweet, as he solves the dynamic lighting problem in the prison’s hall of mirrors.
